About Cassandra

In 2013 Cassandra Leavell also known as Pastor Sand was licensed to preach as a minister of the gospel in the state of Ohio. Pastor Sand received her pastoral credentials with the Assemblies of God in May of 2024 through the Ohio School of Ministry. Her ministry journey spans nearly two decades, during which she has journeyed on more than 20 international mission trips across the seas since 2016. Her global outreach includes preaching the Gospel in Central America (El Salvador), the Caribbean (Haiti and Dominican Republic), and throughout East Africa.

Following Christ as a servant leader has equipped her with the foundation necessary for effective pastoral leadership. Her experience discipling students has allowed her to share the Gospel with thousands of youth globally and her passion is fueled as she teaches on staff as a high school bible teacher. Her passion for women and youth ministry is further exemplified through her annual service & commitment in leadership roles in East Africa.

Pastor Sand's family plays a central role in her life as she prides herself of being a mother of three biological children and her bonus son. All of her children actively serve alongside their mother at their home church, creating a family legacy of ministry. When not engaged in ministry activities, Pastor Sand enjoys creating Christian hip-hop music, writing, beach vacations, traveling, and culinary exploration through creating new recipes and experiencing diverse cuisines.

Pastor Sand's life motto, "To know God and make Him known," reflects her deep commitment to both personal spiritual growth and evangelical outreach. Pastor Sand's testimony is one of unwavering dedication to her calling and more importantly to the One who issued the call. Her passion for Jesus, whom she describes as her "favorite person," fuels her continued ministry to young people, whom she both mentors and learns from. With two decades of walking with Christ, Pastor Sand continues to impact lives locally and globally through her dynamic preaching, compassionate outreach, and servant leadership. Passion for youth, discipleship and global missions has become the hallmark of her service.
